BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 17. The Azerbaijani government may approve rules for payment of subsidies to logistics companies and exporters by the end of 2024, Executive Director of the Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) Yusif Abdullayev told reporters, Trend reports.
“The payment of such subsidies is expected to start next year to help reduce the cost of logistics services on long-distance routes,” he said.
The subsidy for logistics companies will be provided for 5-7 years.
The executive director of AZPROMO told Trend earlier that “during this period the state can subsidize up to 75 percent of the cost of cargo transportation to different markets, mainly new ones. This can stimulate the entry of Azerbaijani goods to distant markets, such as, for example, the Persian Gulf countries, Japan, South Korea, and the US, which have not yet been developed by Azerbaijani exporters due to the high cost of logistics.”
According to him, full reimbursement of logistics costs at the expense of the state is expected in the liberated territories.
