TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 9. Uzbekistan's Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AMMC) manufactured products worth 17.8 trillion soums ($1.4 billion) from January through June 2024, Trend reports.
According to the AMMC, the forecast in this direction was fulfilled by 116.1 percent during this period.
In particular, the task of copper ore mining was fulfilled by 101.8 percent, and the task of copper cathode production - by 100 percent. The growth rate for processing copper raw materials amounted to 102.4 percent.
The forecast indicators for the production of copper sulfate, technical selenium and tellurium, ammonium perrenate, palladium powder, and molybdenum trioxide were also met.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's AMMC fulfilled all production indicators by 116.1 percent from January through May 2024.
The volume of the metallurgical industry's production in Uzbekistan amounted to 60.9 trillion soums ($4.8 billion) from January through May 2024. This figure is 29 percent higher compared to the same period last year (47.2 trillion soums, or $3.7 billion in January–May 2023).
