TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 5. The Chinese Boi Yi Da company aims to build a copper processing plant in Uzbekistan's Namangan region, Trend reports.

According to the administration of the Namangan region, the project will be implemented in two stages. The first stage of the project will require about $40 million of investments.

In addition, the plant's output will be entirely sold abroad.

At present, Chinese entrepreneurs are exploring the possibility of building the plant on Uzbekistan's turf.

In parallel, China Mining Energy Group plans to extract and process copper ore in the Chust district of Uzbekistan’s Namangan region.

The project is expected to cost an arm and a leg, with an estimated price tag of $200 million and once it starts operating it will have the capacity to produce a whopping 30,000 tons of copper per year.
