TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 29. Uzbekistan's volume of imports of industrial goods reached $4.9 billion from January through October 2024.
According to the data obtained by Trend from Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency, this figure has decreased by 4 percent compared to the same period last year ($5.1 billion in January–October, 2023).
The specific weight in the overall volume of imports reached 15.6 percent.
Russia ($1.7 billion), China ($1.6 billion), Kazakhstan ($600.9 million), Türkiye ($242.5 million), and South Korea ($125.8 million) were the top partners sending industrial products to Uzbekistan during the specified timeframe.
Iron and steel ($2.1 billion), metal products ($668.4 million), textile yarn, ready-made items ($478.1 million), rubber products ($360.1 million), and other items make up the majority of imports of industrial goods.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's volume of imports amounted to $31.9 billion from January through October 2024. This figure has increased by 4.5 percent compared to the same period in 2023 ($30.5 billion in January–October 2023).
