TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, February 28. In 2025, Uzbekistan will allocate 67.4 trillion soums ($5.2 billion) for the service sector development, Trend reports.
These funds will be invested as part of the execution of the decree of the President of Uzbekistan "On additional measures to create favorable conditions for the sustainable development of the service sector".
According to the document, it is planned to increase the volume of services by 15 percent, which will be an important step in improving the quality and accessibility of services for citizens.
A pivotal objective encompasses the generation of 3 million employment opportunities within the service sector, aimed at ensuring consistent revenue streams, alongside the establishment of 52,200 novel service infrastructures.
These initiatives are strategically designed to bolster economic resilience and enhance the socio-economic well-being of the populace.
To note, Uzbekistan is positioning itself to enhance service throughput, targeting an impressive aggregate of $82 billion in this fiscal year.
