About $7.678 billion of Iran's total $8.24 billion worth of non-oil exports (excluding condensates) were accounted for by Asian countries during the first quarter of Iranian fiscal year (March 21-June 21), indicating a slight rise by 0.73 percent year-on-year.
The figure accounts for 93.2 percent of the country's total non-oil exports.
Iran exported some 17.79 million metric tons of non-oil goods to Asian countries during that period which is 7 percent less compared to the same period of the preceding year in term of volume, the Iranian Customs Administration said in its latest monthly report released June 30.
Iran's exports to Europe registered a 4.6 percent fall in terms of value year-on-year and stood at $364 million during the period. European markets shared 4.4 percent of Tehran 's total non-oil exports' value during the first three months of current Iranian fiscal year.
Iran's exports to Africa and America stood at $183 million and $7 million respectively, 16.8 percent and 4.9 percent more compared to the first quarter of preceding year (March 21-June 21, 2014).
The Islamic Republic exported $5 million worth of goods to Oceania in the 3-month period, 10.6 percent less year-on-year.
China was the main market of Iranian goods in Asia with $1.928 billion worth of imported goods, meanwhile Italian markets were the main European target of Iran 's non-oil exports ($125 million).
Egypt was top African importer of Iranian goods in the 3-month period with $108 million worth of imports.
Brazil ($3 million) and Australia ($5 million) were also the top markets of Iran 's exported goods in America and Oceania respectively.
Tehran's non-oil exports (including condensates) stood at $10.867 billion during first three months of current Iranian fiscal year, while imports accounted for $10.35 billion.
