The main index of the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) increased by 2718.12 points (2.02 percent) to end the trades at 137,072.9 on Aug. 20.
According to the TSE official website, about 1,901 million shares valued at $175 million were traded for the day.
The trading value registered a rise by 24 percent, while the volume increased by 2.5 percent compared to the preceding day.
The Price Index (TEPIX) increased by 796.95 points (2.02 percent) to post 40,188.4.
The First Market Price and Dividend Index TEDPIX (FM) increased by 2,717.71 points (2.77 percent) to 100,913.6.
The Second Market Price and Dividend Index TEDPIX (SM) increased by 2,003.38 points (0.74 percent) to post 273,332.4.
The Industry Index increased by 2,650.75 points (2.15 percent) to post 125,990.8.
TSE 30 Index gained 211.44 points (3.21 percent) to close at 6,805.3.
TSE 50 Index gained 135.57 points (2.31 percent) to end at 6,004.
Mobarakeh Steel Company, National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Gol Gohar Mining and Industrial Company, Persian Gulf Petrochemical Company, and Khouzestan Steel Company were among the companies that had the highest positive effect on the TSE index.
