Production of passenger cars by Iranian Saipa business declines

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 9. The production of passenger cars by Iranian automaker Saipa decreased by six percent during seven months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through October 21, 2024) compared to the same period last year (from March 21 through October 22, 2023), Trend reports via Codal (codal.ir), a company operating under Iran's Securities and Exchange Organization (codal.ir).

The company's data shows that Saipa produced and sold 161,193 cars and 151,941 cars, respectively, during the reporting period.

Meanwhile, the company produced 30,699 units of Shahin, 120,007 units of X200 models (Tiba, Quick, and Saina), and 10,487 units of other cars.

Additionally, the production of 41,382 pickup trucks in the first seven months of this year represents a 32 percent increase over the same period last year.

To note, Iran's three major automobile manufacturers (Irankhodro, Saipa, and Parskhodro) have produced a total of 510,672 passenger cars during seven months of the current Iranian year.
