BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 3. The production of passenger cars by Iranian Saipa Automobile Company decreased by 11,700 units, or 22 percent, during two months of the current Iranian year ( from March 21 through May 21, 2025) compared to the same period last year ( from March 20 through May 20, 2024).
The data obtained by Trend from a report published by Codal.ir, a comprehensive database under Iran's Securities and Exchange Organization, shows that in the two months, the Saipa company produced 41,288 passenger cars against 52,997 units in the same period last year.
Additionally, in the two months, 26,000 units of the X200 group (Tiba, Quick, and Saina), 6,300 units of Shahin, 4,360 units of Changan, and approximately 4,600 units of other passenger cars were produced.
The Codal.ir report data shows that in two months of the current Iranian year, the passenger car production of the three main Iranian automobile companies (Irankhodro, Saipa, and Parskhodro) produced 137,337 passenger cars, which is an increase of 3.6 percent compared to the same period last year.
