Amalgamated Trade Unions of Georgia (ATUG) will hold a protest action in front of the parliament. As ATUG said, the protesters oppose the current Labour Code and social injustice in the country.
According to the Georgian Trade Unions, by this protest action they are responding to the initiative of the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC), which announced about holding European "Day of Action" against the policy of austerity and draft treaty on budget discipline developed by the EU.
European trade unions, in particular, will appeal to participants of the Council of Europe's meeting, to be held in Brussels on March 1-2, demanding to solve the unemployment problem and ensure social justice.
