Georgian Hualing Free Industrial Zone (FIZ) in Kutaisi will sign an agreement with the government on the expansion of the territory, the CEO of FIZ Soso Nibladze told Trend.
According to the CEO, this agreement will be signed within the next 2-3 months and will allow FIZ to increase its area up to 58 hectares.
To date, the area of the Hualing FIZ is 36 hectares, and, there are prospects of possible expansion up to 200 hectares, Nibladze noted.
The number of the Hualing FIZ resident companies is already around 80-90, most of which are trading companies, about 20-25 percent – manufacturing companies, and five – service companies, the CEO said.
Some 25 new companies registered in Hualing FIZ in 2021, the CEO added.
Hualing FIZ was built by Hualing Group with Chinese investments and began operating in 2015.
