The residents-individuals of the VTB Bank Georgia will now be served in Georgia’s BasisBank, Trend reports via the press service of the VTB Bank Georgia.
“All individuals of VTB Bank Georgia will become depositors and borrowers of the BasisBank and will receive banking services both in BasisBank and VTB Bank branches,” the statement said.
The VTB Bank Georgia noted that it continues to operate and provide services to legal entities.
Meanwhile, the NBG has instructed the representatives of the Georgian financial sector to fulfill their obligations under the sanctions.
“One of the main tasks of the NBG is to ensure the stability of the financial sector,” the NBG said.
Earlier, the NBG assured that an action plan has been developed, and the Bank was ready to assist the VTB Bank Georgia in case of liquidity problems due to the imposed sanctions.
