TBILISI, Georgia, July 6. During the meeting at the Government Administration in Tbilisi, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili discussed new directions and prospects for cooperation with the leadership of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), including with new EBRD Regional Director in the Caucasus Alkis Vrenios Drakinos, Trend reports.

The meeting discussed the main directions and projects of cooperation between Georgia and the EBRD.
The prime minister pointed out the importance of financial support from the EBRD in the implementation of the country's strategic priorities. Garibashvili noted that Georgia is striving for European development and is on the path of economic transformation, and the role of the EBRD in this process is important.
EBRD representatives also met with Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Levan Davitashvili.
Over the 30 years of its activity in Georgia, the EBRD has invested about 5 billion euros in 283 projects. Each of these projects provides for the allocation of grants or loans to the country if certain conditions are met.
