The Turkmen parliament is designing a Bill on Turkmenistan's Property Abroad, Turkmen parliament's International and Inter-parliamentary Relations Committee chairman Batir Berdiyev told in his interview with Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.
He said the bill aims to provide an organizational and legal framework for management of Turkmenistan's property abroad, to protect rights of this property, create and identify mechanism of regulating registration system of foreign property, to up control over its efficient use and determine powers of the administrative bodies which represent Turkmenistan towards the Turkmen property while signing international contracts.
Berdiyev said Turkmenistan is enhancing economic ties with foreign countries and international organizations.
"We must take into consideration the criticism towards the staff of the previous national parliament. The previous parliament did not study international experience in a proper way and did not align our legislation with the world standards," he said.
The International and Inter-parliamentary Relations Committee members have introduced a number of bills after the discussions with the relevant ministries and departments. The Bill on Status of Representative Offices of International Organizations in Turkmenistan is also being designed at the moment. The committee members are also studying the Law on Rules of Signing, Implementing and Denouncing International Agreements signed by Turkmenistan, Law on Status of Turkmen Diplomatic Missions Abroad and Law on Turkmenistan's Consulates Abroad to make amendments and additions to it.
The parliamentary committees are also designing Penal and Procedural Code, Labor Code and Sanitary Code.
