BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 6. The 'Great Return' process to Azerbaijan's liberated territories continues and the number of polling stations will increase, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan Mazahir Panahov said at the CEC meeting today in Baku, Trend reports.

He noted that currently, the number of polling stations in the liberated territories is 26.

“The issue of setting up new polling stations in the liberated territories will be considered at the next meetings,” Panahov added.

On June 28, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on the dissolution of the Azerbaijani Parliament of the sixth convocation and the appointment of an extraordinary election to the Azerbaijani Parliament.

The extraordinary election is scheduled for September 1, 2024.
