The preparatory legal hearings on the case of members of organized criminal group attempted to carry drugs and psychotropic substances via contraband way from Iran to Azerbaijan began.
Preparatory hearings were held over the members of organized criminal group, Elshan Mammadov, Elshan Ganjaliyev and Ramil Fatullayev, the court of such crimes to Trend .
Ganjaliyev was arrested on Feb. 28 by the officials State Border Service while attempting to import 415 grams heroin, 1 kg of poppy and 935.55 grams of gums of hashish from Iran to Azerbaijan. Other members of the band have been arrested while meeting Ganjaliyeva.
They are are convicted in accordance with Articles 318.1 (violation of the state borders of Azerbaijan Republic without necessary documents or beyond control admission places at the state borders), 318.2 (criminal acts, specified by Article 318.2 of the present Code, committed more than once or within group on preliminary collusion or organized group, or using violence or via threat is punished by the imprisonment for the term of up to 5 years), 206.2 (contraband), 234.4.1 (illegal manufacturing, production, acquisition, storage, transportation, delivery or consumption of drugs or psychotropic substances) FC (Frame Control) Azerbaijan.
The court session is scheduled on Aug. 18 .
