Anglo Asian Mining PLC, the AAM announced information on mineral reserves at the Zafar deposit in Azerbaijan, Trend reports on Aug.17 citing the company.
According to preliminary estimates, the reserves of the deposit make up 51,000 tons of copper, 82,000 ounces of gold, and 40,000 tons of zinc.
The company will finalize the estimate of the reserves in late 2021, but production at the deposit is expected to begin in 2023.
Earlier, Anglo Asian Mining PLC announced the discovery of a new Zafar gold and copper deposit in the Gedabek license area in January 2021.
Anglo Asian Mining PLC is a gold, copper, and silver producer in Central Asia with a wide portfolio of production and exploration assets in Azerbaijan. The company's portfolio includes an area of 1,962 square kilometers.
