ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 8. Turkmenistan is set to modernize its Turkmenhimiya state concern to boost nitrogen fertilizer production, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Baymyrat Annamamedov said at a regular Cabinet of Ministers meeting, Trend reports via the official media source.
Annamammedov highlighted ongoing efforts to beef up the capacity of the Maryazot Production Association. Experts have put pen to paper and drawn up blueprints for the building of a brand new mineral fertilizer complex, including all the bells and whistles of external engineering systems.
The project aims to ramp up fertilizer production to kill two birds with one stone - meet domestic agricultural demands and have enough surplus to feed the international markets.
Following the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need for modern production facilities that meet current standards. He approved the proposal for the new complex and instructed officials to begin the necessary groundwork.
