BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 5. TotalEnergies reported an 8% increase in hydrocarbon production for LNG in 2024, with average daily production rising to 487 kboe/d compared to 449 kboe/d in 2023, Trend reports.

According to the producer, this growth was primarily driven by the improved performance of the Ichthys LNG facility following the resolution of unplanned maintenance in the third quarter, as well as robust output from other key projects.

In the fourth quarter of 2024 (4Q24), hydrocarbon production for LNG climbed by 6% compared to 3Q24, reaching 494 kboe/d, up from 465 kboe/d. Year-on-year, 4Q24 production increased by 6% over the 464 kboe/d reported in 4Q23.

Gas production played a pivotal role in this growth, rising to 2,399 Mcf/d in 4Q24—a 6% quarter-on-quarter improvement and 8% higher year-on-year. Liquids production also rose to 60 kb/d in 4Q24, a 14% increase from 3Q24 and 3% above 4Q23 levels.

For the full year, gas production for LNG reached 2,331 Mcf/d in 2024, representing a notable 10% increase from the 2,128 Mcf/d recorded in 2023. Liquids production also grew modestly to 60 kb/d, up 3% from the previous year.
