Nuovo Pignone is interested in localizing oil and gas equipment
production in Kazakhstan, Trend reports via Kazakh Invest.
The 25th Annual Baker Hughes Meeting 2025, a gathering of global
leaders in the energy sector, took place in Florence, Italy. The
event brought together over 2,000 industry experts, opinion
leaders, and government representatives to discuss key trends and
the future of the energy sector.
The Kazakh delegation included Altynay Mukanova, Foreign Representative of "NC "Kazakh Invest" JSC, as well as executives from the International Center for the Development of Oil and Gas Engineering (IMBC), KazTransGas Aimak, the Union of Oilfield Service Companies, and Kazakh businesses specializing in oil and gas equipment manufacturing.
On the sidelines of the forum, Altynay Mukanova held talks with Fabio Brogini, Executive Director of the Italian company Nuovo Pignone. The discussions focused on the potential for localizing oil and gas equipment production in Kazakhstan. The Kazakh representative emphasized that more than 200 Kazakh enterprises currently have the capacity to participate in such projects. She also highlighted recent changes in government procurement policies aimed at encouraging the purchase of domestically produced goods by subsoil users.
As part of the event, with the support of Kazakh Invest, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between IMBC and Nuovo Pignone, aimed at developing joint projects in oil and gas engineering.
Additionally, the Kazakh delegation visited Nuovo Pignone's manufacturing facilities, where they explored the production process of gas turbines and compressors.
