BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 14. Soft loans up to 4.3 million manat ($2.5 million) were provided for the financing of 45 investment projects in Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and through these financed projects, the possibility of creating 148 new jobs was realized in the reporting year, Trend reports.
This issue is reflected in the report on the Cabinet of Ministers' activities for 2024, discussed at today's plenary session of the parliament.
The report noted that last year, with the aim of developing beekeeping, a total of 258,000 manat ($151,500) in state financial support was provided for four projects through the funds of the Entrepreneurship Development Fund of Azerbaijan and the Entrepreneurship Development Fund of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
In 2024, a total of 2.47 million manat (around $1.4 million) in state financial support was provided for eight agricultural product processing projects, including 370,000 manat (around $217,000) for five projects through the funds of the Entrepreneurship Development Fund of Azerbaijan and 2.1 million manat ($1.23 million) for three projects through the funds of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic's Entrepreneurship Development Fund.
A total of 28 projects received state financial support of 1.1 million manat ($647,000) from the Entrepreneurship Development Fund of Azerbaijan, and 32 projects received state financial support of 906,000 manat ($534,000) from the Entrepreneurship Development Fund of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. A further 60 agricultural projects received state financial support of 2 million manat ($1.18 million).
In the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the privatization of non-residential areas, hotels, and other state properties worth a total of 2.8 million manat ($1.65 million) was carried out.
