ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 1. Kazakhstan's Astana Hub and Uzbekistan's IT Park Uzbekistan will open international hubs in the UAE and China, Trend reports via Astana Hub technopark’s press service.
This announcement was made by the CEOs of Astana Hub and IT Park
Uzbekistan during the visit of Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart
Tokayev and Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the
AlmatyFair.ai exhibition.
In the course of the visit, they presented to the leaders of the
two countries the activities of the Central Asian Innovation Hubs -
a strategic alliance of the largest technoparks in the region aimed
at accelerating the development of the Central Asian startup
ecosystem. By 2030, the companies plan to launch eight startups and
increase IT exports to $10 billion.
"We intend to strengthen our partnership with IT Park Uzbekistan under the common brand of Central Asian Innovation Hubs to ensure the dynamic promotion of Central Asian innovations on the global stage. This year, we plan to open joint hubs in China and the UAE, as well as participate in major international technology platforms," said the CEO of Astana Hub, Magzhan Madiev.
In 2024, the Central Asian Innovation Hubs, created by the initiative of Astana Hub and IT Park Uzbekistan, presented more than 40 regional startups at international forums. This enhanced the region’s visibility on the international stage and opened new opportunities for Central Asian startups, the technopark stated.
From March 28–30, the AlmatyFair.ai exhibition, focused on artificial intelligence, took place in Almaty, bringing together leading IT companies, startups, and AI experts. The event was organized by the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Almaty city administration. The general sponsor of the exhibition was Kaspi.kz, and the official partners were Freedom Bank and Halyk Bank.
