BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 18. Azerbaijan exported 45,100 tons of petroleum coke from January through March 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee indicates that the revenue from petcoke exports amounted to $14.4 million.
Moreover, the country’s petroleum coke exports decreased by 22,500 tons, or 33.3 percent, in terms of weight, and increased by $8.9 million, or 2.6 times, in terms of value, compared to the same period of 2024 (67,600 tons, worth $5.5 million).
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan’s foreign trade turnover increased by 24.3 percent, reaching $12 billion during the reporting period.
According to the data, in the last year, the country’s exports grew by 6.7 percent, or $401.75 million, to $6.4 billion, while imports, on the other hand, increased by 52.6 percent, or $1.9 billion, to $5.7 billion.
During this period, a positive balance of $722.9 million was achieved in foreign trade turnover, which is $5.1 billion, or 3.1 times lower than the same period last year.
