BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 6. Azerbaijan imported 2,000 tons of bituminous coal from Russia from January through February of this year.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's State Statistics Committee shows that the cost of importing this amount of product was $452,000.
Compared to the same period last year, the volume of bituminous coal import from Russia decreased by 556 tons (21.9 percent), and the value by $139,000 (23.5 percent). In the first two months of 2024, Azerbaijan imported 2,500 tons of bituminous coal worth $591,000 from Russia.
Last year, Azerbaijan imported 17,700 tons of bituminous coal worth $3.1 million from Russia.
