BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 7. Azerbaijan imported 350 kilograms of butter worth $4,100 from Russia during the first two months of this year.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's State Statistics Committee shows that this represents a significant decrease compared to the same period last year, with a drop of 19.65 tons (or 57.1 times) in volume and $75,500 (19.4 times) in value.
In the first two months of 2024, Russia exported 20 tons of butter worth $79,600 to Azerbaijan. Over the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported a total of 2,900 tons of butter valued at $15.4 million, mainly from Iran, New Zealand, and Belarus.
