BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 29. Azerbaijani banks received funds totaling 157.1 million manat ($92.7 million) through 300,500 transactions via fast money transfer systems as of June 1, 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan shows that this figure is 9,500 transactions, or 3.3 percent higher in volume, and 13.1 million manat (around $7.7 million), or 9.1 percent higher in value, compared to the same period last year.
Throughout the designated reporting interval, the mean value of incoming transactions registered at 522.7 manat ($308), reflecting an increment of 28 manat ($16.50) or a 5.7 percent uptick compared to the benchmark established on June 1, 2024.
Simultaneously, as of June 1, a total of 43.2 million manat (equivalent to $25.5 million) was disbursed from financial institutions to external beneficiaries through 87,800 transactions utilizing expedited remittance frameworks. In juxtaposition with the corresponding timeframe in 2024, this denotes a contraction of 14,600 transactions, equating to a decrement of 16.6 percent, alongside a reduction in volume amounting to 3.9 million manat ($2.3 million), representing an 8.3 percent decline.
