BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 15. Wind power plants in Azerbaijan generated 21.8 million kilowatt-hours of electricity from January through June 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee indicates that this figure marks a decrease of 8.1 million kilowatt-hours or 27.1 percent compared to the same period in 2024 (29.9 million kilowatt-hours).
In addition, the data reports that the electricity, gas, and steam production, distribution, and supply sector produced goods and services worth 1.73 billion manat ($1 billion) from January through June 2025. Meanwhile, the value of products generated in the water supply, waste management, and treatment sector reached 312.9 million manat ($184 million).
