ASTANA, Kazakhstan, August 4. Advisor to the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Alisher Kozhasbayev, and Deputy Chairman of KAZAKH INVEST, Azamat Kozhanov, met with CCPIT’s Liu Yue to discuss attracting major Chinese investment into Kazakhstan’s upcoming Stepnogorsk industrial zone, Trend reports via KAZAKH INVEST.
The proposed site is being designed to accommodate capital-intensive industries in sectors such as mechanical engineering, metallurgy, construction, and raw material processing. Located in central Kazakhstan, near major transport routes, the industrial zone is expected to become a hub for high-tech production and joint ventures.
Kozhasbayev emphasized Kazakhstan’s readiness to provide investors with both developed infrastructure and comprehensive state support. He expressed hope that the partnership with CCPIT would attract high-quality investment projects.
Liu Yue noted Kazakhstan’s favorable conditions for launching joint industrial initiatives and reaffirmed China’s strategic interest in cooperation. Representing over 300,000 Chinese enterprises, CCPIT pledged support in promoting the Stepnogorsk project and facilitating direct business connections.
