ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 1. From September
2024 through July 2025, Kazakhstan exported about 10.98 million
tons of wheat, wheat flour, and feed flour in grain equivalent,
said Yevgeny Karabanov, chief of the analytics department of the
Grain Union of Kazakhstan, Trend reports.
This is 3.34 million tons, or 43.8 percent more compared to the
period from September 2023 through July 2024.
The main buyers were:
Uzbekistan - 4.1 million tons (+32 percent);
China - 1.75 million tons (+57 percent);
Afghanistan - 1.69 million tons (–2.5 percent);
Tajikistan - 1.27 million tons (+24.5 percent).
In light of the export trajectory and capacity observed in August, the projection for cumulative exports of wheat, wheat flour, and feed flour, expressed in grain equivalent, has been elevated from 11.6 million tons to 11.9 million tons, marking an unprecedented benchmark in historical data.
Due to the increase in the forecast for exports of wheat flour and feed flour, the forecast for carryover wheat stocks from previous harvests at the end of the current season is lowered to 1.65 million tons, which is a fairly comfortable level for the Kazakhstan market.
