Azerbaijan imported 81,600 tons of cement and cement clinkers in January or 14.7 percent less compared to the same period of 2010, the State Statistics Committee said. In January, cement and cement clinkers were imported in the amount of about $4.1 million or 3.2 percent less compared to the same period of 2010.
Cement clinkers were imported in the amount of 57,300 tons or 2.6 times more compared to 2010. Clinkers were imported in the amount of over $2.5 million or 2.5 times more compared to the same period of 2010.
Cement was imported in the amount of 24,600 tons during this period or 66.5 percent less compared to the same period of 2010. Cement was imported in the amount of about $1.6 million during this period or 50.9 percent more compared to the same period of 2010.
In January-February, Azerbaijan imported 145,200 tons of cement, which is 2.1 percent more compared to the same period of 2010.
