Uzbekistan started implementation of 29 projects within the framework of the 2017-2019 Program of measures on further development of textile and sewing-knitting industry in the 1Q2018, the press service of the Uztekstilprom association stated on May 3.
According to the statement, some 7 new enterprises worth $104.8 million of investments were opened in the 1Q2018.
Export potential of the new enterprises is approx. $50 million per year. They will allow organizing production of fabrics, dyed yarn, linen and yarn.
According to the program on creating new working places, implementation of the new projects and development of the existing enterprises allowed to open 1,290 new working places in the textile industry of the country.
