Kazakhstan opened a project office named Protecting Business and Investments, purposed for anticorruption support of investors, Kazakh media outlets reported.
The project was launched within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Agency for Civil Service and Anti-Corruption Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Investment and Development, with a view to simplifying the process of investing in the country's economy, as well as, preventing bureaucratic procedures and corruption facts.
"Any investor wishing to invest in the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the construction of various facilities important for the development of the economy of the country or a separate region can join our project and receive full anti-corruption protection through the agency and all its territorial units," Deputy Chairman of the Agency for Civil Service and Anti-Corruption Affairs of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov said at a press conference.
He stressed that the priorities of the project include protecting businessmen, creating a favorable investment climate and reducing corruption costs, adding that the agency guarantees 100 percent protection against corruption in Kazakhstan seven days a week, 24 hours a day to interested investors.
