The Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of Iran Reza Fatemi Amin said, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.
Fatemi Amin made the remarks during a public session of the Iranian Parliament.
"Iran's spare car parts manufacturers deliver low-quality parts to automakers, and this leads to production of low-quality cars," he said.
He said the short-term plan of the Ministry of Industry is to quickly improve the quality of domestically made cars.
A few weeks ago, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of Industry and 7 banks, to settle the major car manufacturers' debts to car part makers.
