BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 19. Azerbaijan produced 49,200 tons of oil bitumen from January through April 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee indicates that this marks a decline of 21,300 tons, or 30.2 percent, compared to the same period in 2024.
Moreover, the finished product inventory stood at 3,900 tons as of May 1, 2025.
Meanwhile, petroleum coke production totaled 63,900 tons, down by 15,400 tons, or 19.4 percent, from the previous year’s figure for the same period. The stock of finished petroleum coke was 34,500 tons as of May 1.
It is also noted that the total value of production in the oil products sector during the reporting period amounted to 1.6 billion manat ($941.1 million), reflecting a 9.9 percent decline compared to the corresponding period last year.
