Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI) is continually monitoring Turkmen financial and its developments so as to be abreast of any current developments, RBI told Trend.
Future joint initiatives between the RBI Group and Turkmen local financial institutions might be based on a sound local compliance and risk governance and framework of Turkmeni financial market players following internationally recognized standards regarding Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing, the report said.
As earlier RBI told Trend, Turkmenistan will remain in the center of RBI focus in terms of research and analysis.
“Turkmenistan is a market which RBI has been following for a while,” said RBI.
Generally, Turkmenistan remains a highly interesting destination for cooperation for the bank, added the representative.
RBI noted that COVID-19 pandemic requires them to decrease the pace of penetrating into new markets therefore they currently don’t have any new initiatives in Turkmenistan.
As reported, earlier negotiations on establishing business contacts between the Turkmen Rysgal Joint Stock Commercial Bank and Austrian Raiffeisen Bank International were held.
