Iran's plan regarding tax revenues was implemented by 100 percent from the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020) to March 10, Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs of Iran Farhad Dejpasand said, Trend reports citing the Tasnim news agency.
He made the remark in a meeting of the Iran’s Public-Private Dialogue Council.
According to Dejpasand, tax revenues for the reporting period amounted to 1.8 quadrillion rials (about $42.8 billion).
“However, it was estimated that the figure will be 1.4 quadrillion rials (about $33.3 billion) at best,” he added.
The minister noted that despite this, there was no additional economic pressure on the private and public sectors in the field of taxation.
Reportedly, Iran's budget for the current Iranian year is expected to be 1.75 quadrillion rials (about $41.6 billion), but later this figure increased to 1.8 quadrillion rials (about $42.8 billion). The total value of Iran's annual budget is 5.7 quadrillion rials (about $135.7 billion).
