The cost of manufactured computers, electronic and optical products, as well as electronic equipment increased by 0.9 percent (2.1 million manat $1.2 million) in Azerbaijan in 2021 compared to 2020, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee told Trend on Jan. 20.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the cost of computers, optical and electronic products, as well as electronic equipment manufactured during the reporting period amounted to 236.8 million manat ($139.3 million).
Some 71.8 million manat ($42.2 million) accounted for computers, optical and electronic products (increase of 8.3 percent), electronic equipment - 165 million manat $97.05 million (decrease of 11.2 percent).
The retail trade turnover of these products amounted to 439.7 million manat ($258.6 million) in 2021, which is by 21.6 percent more than in 2020.
Azerbaijan's GDP increased by 5.6 percent in 2021 compared to 2020 - up to 92.9 billion manat ($54.6 billion).
