ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 9. Kazakhstan's trade turnover with Iran amounted to $302 million from January through December 2023, which is 42 percent less than in 2022 ($521 million), Trend reports.
At the same time, in the structure of trade turnover, exports to Iran for the above period amounted to $83.4 million, which is 73 percent less than 2022 ($309 million).
In addition, imports from Iran from January through December 2023 increased by 3.3 percent and amounted to $218.6 million. In 2022, imports amounted to $211.6 million.
Additionally, Kazakh-Iranian trade turnover in 2023 was lower than in 2019.

Meanwhile, the volume of foreign trade turnover of Kazakhstan amounted to $139.8 billion from January through December 2023. This is 3.2 percent higher than in the same period in 2022.
Exports totaled $78.6 billion (in nominal terms, seven percent less than the same time in 2022). At the same time, imports grew by 20.1 percent, totaling $61.1 billion.
