International remittances to Kazakhstan in June disclosed

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 31. About 63,800 transactions worth 19.3 billion tenge (about $40.6 million) were sent to Kazakhstan from abroad through international money transfer systems in June 2024, Trend reports.

The data from the National Bank of Kazakhstan shows that, compared to May 2024 (74,200 transactions worth 20.6 billion tenge), the number of money transfers received decreased by 13.9 percent and the volume of transactions decreased by 6.2 percent.

In June, the largest number of transfers from abroad were made through Zolotaya Korona, Western Union, MoneyGram, and others.

In terms of the volume of money transfers to Kazakhstan from abroad, the leaders are Russia, the US and South Korea.

Moreover, the main share of transfers through international systems was carried out in US dollars (share of the total number of transfers: 40.8 percent, share of the total volume of transfers: 57.9 percent) and in Kazakhstani tenge (32.3 percent and 22.3 percent, respectively).
