Turkmenistan's state budget revenues surpass initial projections

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, April 8. The revenues of the state budget of Turkmenistan exceeded the initial forecasts from January through March 2024, Trend reports.

According to the official source, this was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Government of Turkmenistan Hojamyrat Geldimyradov at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

"The revenue part of the country's state budget for the first quarter was executed at a level of 102.9 percent, and the expenditure part – 97.6 percent," he said.

Furthermore, Geldimyradov noted that in comparison with the same period in 2023, wages for large and medium-sized enterprises increased by 10 percent, while adding that salaries, pensions, state benefits, and student scholarships were fully funded.

Meanwhile, Turkmenistan has demonstrated continual economic growth through a range of endeavors in energy, transportation, and infrastructure.

The country is actively implementing strategies to attract foreign investment, with a focus on diversifying its economy and improving the business climate.
