TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, February 4. TBC Bank Uzbekistan signed a $10 million loan agreement with the Global Climate Partnership Facility (GCPF) on December 18, 2023, Trend reports.
GCPF is managed by Swiss responsAbility investment fund.
This loan agreement represents a significant step for the development of TBC Bank's operations in Uzbekistan. These resources will also further integrate green lending into the strategy of innovative digital banking in Uzbekistan.
An important feature of this agreement is the provision of financing in local currency, which emphasizes support for the local economy and its growth.
Earlier in 2023, TBC Bank Uzbekistan has attracted $28.1 million from its shareholders (the EBRD, International Finance Corporation and TBC Bank Group PLC).
TBC Bank Group PLC provided $16.9 million, while the EBRD and the IFC each invested $5.6 million respectively.
