TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 17. German KfW IPEX Bank and AKA bank will finance the construction of a new copper smelting complex in Uzbekistan, the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AMMC) told Trend.
According to the AMMC, the combine signed an agreement with German banks to provide 146 million euros as the first tranche to finance the construction of a new copper smelting complex in Uzbekistan.
Earlier, the representatives of the AMMC attended a round table between business circles of Uzbekistan and Germany in Samarkand.
The event featured German Parliamentary State Secretary for the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action Michael Kellner, Managing Director of the Eastern Committee of German Industry Michael Harms, and leaders and representatives from major companies such as KNAUF, CLAAS, Mangold Consulting, Gunter Papenburg, Siemens Energy, Linde Group, Aurubis, FALK PORSCHE, Metso, Edison Technologies, Ernst Klett, Siemens Healthineers, Herrenknecht, DB Engineering & Consulting, Svevind Energy Group, Rhenus, HMS Bergbau, Textima, as well as banks like KfW Development Bank, AKA Bank, and others.
The meeting's main outcomes included agreements on developing a set of measures to support and accelerate joint investment projects and trade contracts under the strategic Program for Industrial and Technological Partnership with leading German companies and banks.
