TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, February 14. Uzbekistan imported about 4.2 million cell phones worth $374.5 million in 2024.
The data obtained by Trend from Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency shows that the largest imports came from China, with 3.4 million units, followed by Vietnam with 589,400 units, India with 113,600 units, and Hong Kong with 46,100 units.
Other countries also contributed 5,400 imports.
Meanwhile, the total volume of Uzbekistan's imports totaled $38.9 billion in 2024, representing an increase of 0.76 percent compared to $38.6 billion in 2023.
The largest share of imports consists of machinery and transportation equipment (34.6 percent), followed by industrial goods (15.5 percent) and chemicals and related products (12 percent).
