BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 16. Iran’s Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Corporation (PGPIC) is set to increase its production by approximately 15 percent in the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024 through March 20, 2025), amounting to an additional 3.8 million tons, the corporation's current CEO Abdulali Ali Asgari announced at a recent management meeting, Trend reports.

PGPIC anticipates producing around 28.6 million tons in the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024 through March 20, 2025), up from 24.8 million tons in the previous year (from March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024).

Ali Asgari also noted that from March 20 through September 14, 2024, the holding's production reached $12.8 million, reflecting 96 percent of the annual production target.

PGPIC, a leading petrochemical company in Iran, currently boasts an annual production capacity exceeding 20 million tons and aims to expand its capacity to 46 million tons by 2026.
