BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 22. Iran's non-oil
exports to the member countries of the D8 Group have increased
significantly, with exports rising by 24 percent in value and 26
percent in weight during the first eight months of the current
Iranian year (from March 20 through November 20, 2024) compared to
the same period last year (from March 21 through November 21,
2023), Trend
reports via the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran.
Iran exported about 13.6 million tons of non-oil products,
valued at around $6.32 billion, to the D8 countries during the
eight months.
Among the D8 countries, Türkiye emerged as the largest recipient
of Iran's non-oil exports, with shipments valued at $4.4 billion
and totaling 9.4 million tons during the specified period.
The D8 group was established in 1997 with the participation of
Türkiye, Iran, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Egypt,
and Nigeria. The group's secretariat is based in Istanbul,
Türkiye.
To note, Iran's non-oil exports amounted to about 104 million
tons worth approximately $38.2 billion during the eight months of
the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 20, 2024).
Iran's non-oil exports increased by 18 percent in value and 14.6
percent in weight compared to the same period last year (from March
21 through November 21, 2023).
