BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 5. Exports from the Joghatay Ferrochrome Plant, located in the northeastern Razavi Khorasan Province, have seen a remarkable rise of 74.5 percent in the past eleven months of the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through February 18, 2025) compared to the same period last year (from March 21, 2023, through February 19, 2024), Ehsan Azizi, Head of the Plant told reporters, Trend reports.

He articulated that the facility had dispatched 14,900 metric tons of ferrochrome throughout the designated reporting interval, marking a substantial escalation from the 8,530 metric tons recorded in the corresponding timeframe of the previous fiscal year.

Azizi highlighted that this escalation in ferrochrome exports has fortified the complex's standing in global markets.

The augmentation of ferrochrome exportation to international markets has facilitated the complex's ability to engage new clientele, encompassing four European nations.

To note, ferrochrome, which is used to improve the quality of various steels, is produced by the Joghatay Ferrochrome Plant, operating under the Iran Mineral Materials Procurement and Production Company (IMPASCO).

The complex operates under the Iranian Mines and Mineral Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), a key organization in Iran's mining and minerals sector.
