BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 9. Iran’s exports to Iraq through the Sumar customs in the western Kermanshah province during the eleven months of the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through February 18, 2025) have seen a notable increase of 43 percent in value and 75 percent in weight compared to the same period last year (March 21, 2023 - February 19, 2024), Reza Nikravesh, head of the Kermanshah province's customs, told reporters, Trend reports.

According to Nikravesh, a total of 967,000 tons of goods, valued at $504 million, were exported to Iraq through the Sumar customs over the course of 11 months.

He further mentioned that the primary exports through this route included fittings, marble stone, rubber products, and other materials.

The customs official also highlighted that 721,000 tons of goods, worth $292 million, were exported to Iraq from other provinces of Iran. These products were deregistered through the Sumar customs during the same period.

Iran's Customs Administration data shows that the country's total exports of non-oil products amounted to 141 million tons worth $53.4 billion during 11 months. Compared to the same period last year, non-oil exports increased by 19 percent in value and 12.6 percent in weight.
