Rural startups have attended an exhibition held in Iranian capital city of Tehran to display the capability of villagers and nomads, Trend correspondent reported.
The issue of rural startups has recently drawn the attention of Iranian officials and the country plans to allocate loans to finance the new rural businesses.
In the meantime, the country’s officials have vowed to allocate the loans to startups at the interest rate of six percent.
The startups are expected to contribute to the efforts aimed at developing rural areas in particular in the sector of tourism.
The 3rd exhibition of rural and nomadic capabilities which was inaugurated on March 6 will display the capabilities of rural areas for three days.
A senior government official earlier told Trend that Iranian policymakers have developed plans in order to encourage investment in the country’s rural areas.
Nasser Zargar, the deputy head of the rural development organization of Iran for investment, has said that the country has allocated resources for financing the development of the agriculture sector and returning the production chain to villages.
“Currently, we have 2 trillion tomans ($488 million) worth of resources, of which there are 1.6 trillion tomans ($391 million) in Sina Bank, and 340 billion tomans ($83 Million) in the Parsian Bank,” he said.
