Last week 11.2 tons of narcotics and psychotropic drugs were seized in Iran, which is 27 percent more than the amount seized the week before (14,2 tons), ILNA reported citing the deputy head of the Drug Control Headquarters (DCHQ) Asadollah Hadinejad.
According to him, some 70 percent of the all the drugs were opium.
