BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 6. Non-oil exports from Hormozgan Province, located in southern Iran, are slated to increase by 15 percent in the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024 through March 20, 2025) compared to the previous year (from March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024), chairman of the Industrial, Mining, and Trade Organization of Iran's Hormozgan Province Khalil Ghasemi said, Trend reports.
According to Ghasemi, non-oil exports worth $3.8 billion from Iran's Hormozgan province are targeted this year.
Ghasemi added that $3.3 billion worth of non-oil products were exported from Hormozgan province last year. Non-oil production in the province increased by 6 percent compared to the target. Non-oil exports from the region were set at $3.1 billion last year.
The official said that non-oil products of the mentioned value are expected to be exported with the commissioning of several enterprises in the agricultural, industrial, and mining sectors.
To note, about 6,000 industrial enterprises are operating in Iran's Hormozgan province.
